Big Heart ProjectBig Heart Project
Visit: www.bigheartproject.org

Big Heart Project is a charity organization that was started by young people in Melbourne, Australia and is based upon the principles and philosophy of Zen Buddhism. The heart of the project is to change people's (and animal's) lives through acts of compassion and selflessness. Love is the greatest power in the world. It is the only power that is incorruptible.

We especially focus on supporting children's needs: food, a home, shelter from violence and forced labor, and especially the right to an education. We understand the need to cultivate the development of the whole person, beyond striving for financial success and meeting basic needs. It is for this reason we put a great deal of emphasis on cultivating mindfulness, self-reliance, compassion, intuition, minimalism and meditation.

Our vision is international, while our projects are grassroots.
